UPDATE (8/4/08): Various unseen factors have been consistently cropping up (including my HD crashing!!) resulting in constant push-backs of the originally schedule launch date of my friend’s eLearning Portal which I am doing the marketing for. The launch should be occurring sometime in the next couple of weeks and as soon as that occurs I will begin posting here on a regular basis.  As a result I’ve removed the Countdown Timer because it’s relevancy has changed, if for no other reason than I can’t seem to get a handle on exactly when this will actually launch which would mean constantly changing the timer end date.

Three days have passed and nothing more has been posted.

My original intention was to post everyday which should have been easy enough to do because there’s a lot going on with getting this product ready to launch in conjunction with documenting the process of how I got here.

Well, the reason for no posts in the past three days is that the actual preparation of this product for the launch is taking up more time than I had originally anticipated. I’m not only marketing it, but I’m also creating many of the bonuses. I realized last night that the Number One thing that’s the most important is getting this product launched on time and there’s still a lot to do with the launch set to occur in less than three weeks, assuming it stays on target. The Countdown Timer includes this time plus the period of time set to promote the product which is four weeks. As a result, I’m suspending any activity on this blog until after the timer has run out. At that point I will consistently post what happened and whether or not the results of the launch met my financial goals.

Here’s a brief description of the product and where you can go to monitor it: A close friend and business partner has had a passion for Internet Security for over 10 yrs. She is a teacher at a popular online education institution. Several years ago she created two major courses on Internet Security, one for beginners and one for advanced. Statistics that I’ve been researching is showing that this kind of thing is happening more and more along with stealth techniques being used to infect you while visiting a web site without you ever knowing it happened. The need for EVERY user of a computer to acquire a good solid foundation in PC Security is becoming more and more necessary as these malware attacks continue to evolve making the release of these course even more relevant.

I AM AN INTERNET MARKETER!

Now that’s a bold thing to say especially when there’s a countdown timer stating “COUNTDOWN TO NEGATIVE CASH FLOW“. That doesn’t look terribly positive for someone saying that he is an Internet Marketer. So who am I and what gives me the right to say this? Well, first off this is a technique for manifesting what you choose in your life and this is what I choose to now become. The technique is to act as if you already have it or have become it and this is called “Thinking From The End” or “Acting As If”. This can be somewhat challenging to do but nevertheless it does work with practice and diligence. The fact that I am writing this is proof that this technique does work but you’re going to need some more information in order to understand what I mean by this.

So how did I get here?

That is a very interesting question as it involves storming out of Corporate America with just enough money to barely last six months without a real succinct idea of how I was going to become successful in the world of online self employment income. It’s not that I didn’t have any kind of plan I just did not have a detailed plan. I had been working on leaving Corporate America for about a year or so prior to my sudden departure on February 4, 2008. I have written in detail of my journey into small business Internet Marketing on my About page. For now suffice it to say that after a series of events that occurred after the Christmas holiday I ended up being the most miserable that I had been in my ENTIRE working career (I worked at United Airlines during their bankruptcy so that’s saying a lot!). Couple that with a longstanding desire for self employment income and you end up with the making of a career disaster that shocked all of my fellow employees none of which knew what was happening because it all happened so fast. Even though I had tried to find a way to stay a few more months while I planned my exit, (a.k.a. The Safer Path) it ended up that my life was screaming to me that NOW is the time to leave and I was pissed off enough to act upon it.

Fortunately for me I’ve been dabbling with the idea of what it takes to acquire self employment income for quite a long time. That being said, it was still going to be a great challenge to replace my income of $75,000 per year in six months. I spent the first four to six weeks researching that my original ideas were valid enough to create the income I required and ended up trashing some of them. I also discovered their replacements some of which I knew about but took me by surprise as I had no idea of their money generating potential. This was namely blogs and Web 2.0. I also have some products of my own that I will develop along with a couple of products that are not mine but will market them. So there are plenty of internet marketing opportunities but this all is occurring with a race against time and that is the largest challenge to overcome because I have no doubt that these ideas will be successful but the question is will it happen before the money runs out hence the countdown timer you see at the top of this blog.

My intention here is to document the first product launch of an Internet Marketer and what it took to get to this point along with whether or not the success of this launch will meet my financial goals. Based on my initial research there’s a great potential for a pretty decent return for this first product I’m in the midst of preparing to deploy if it is marketed correctly but one of the problems is if there is enough time to do this before the timer reaches zero.

Over the next several weeks I will not only be documenting as much of my marketing process as I can but I will also go over the details of my extensive research and how I chose my final products. My intention is for this blog to be a NO BS way of evaluating this type of business and that it will be a great benefit to anyone starting out or wanting to know how to start out as you will basically be looking over my shoulder.
